On Saturday 9th, Hillsborough Running Club hosted runners from the Fleet Feet, Carrboro/Durham training programs. It was also the day of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail walk. The weather was perfect. It was awesome to see so many runners and hikers out on the trail between Gold Park and the Occoneechee Speedway Track, and having the Farmers Market in full swing and Weaver Street Market at mid point on the route, it was a perfect morning to be out on the trail.
5 members from the HRC ran up in Danville, VA in the Run for Justice 5K or 10K on June 17th.
After heavy rain the day before, some of the paved trail was waterlogged requiring runners to hit the dirt in a few places. All added to the fun, in a nice friendly event, now in its 16th year.
Congratulations to Kyle for winning the 10K, and Martin for coming in first master in the 10K. Also age group awards for Tom, Tom and Philip.
It was a beautiful morning in downtown Hillsborough, isn’t it always, for a run on the Riverwalk. Almost 100 people signed up for either the 5K or the 1 Mile run to kick off the library summer reading program. Fleet Feet were also there with some giveaway prizes for the raffle.

Join us as we lace up our running and walking shoes to bring Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) down. LBD is the second most common form of degenerative dementia, affecting more than 1.4 million individuals in the United States. Despite this, many people have never heard of the disease. This race aims to raise awareness and funds for LBDA, Inc. so that its research may one day find a cure and in the future we will never hear of Lewy Body Dementia again!
Those who register by May 29, 2017 are guaranteed a free T-shirt.
